I've heard that baby's like to look at faces, so I put her mirror on her bouncy chair for her to look at herself but..it's either too soon for that in her development or she's just not into it.

"Due Date"

annnd two days ago, 6 days old, her cord stump fell off during bath time with zach & irene. yay.

1 week old plus 1 day today. and it's the day she was supposed to be born. I wonder what the extra 8 days of cooking would have done. hmm.

Pea pod and I went to her first doctor's appointment today. She's in the 25th percentile all around: height, weight, head circumference. yay!

Great Grandpa Len came to see Carmella yesterday for the first time. He loves her little name. Said when he was growing up, everyone was named Carmella. Actually I think his exact words were "when I was growing up, it was..what should we name her?... name her Carmella!"
She wore a precious little dress for the occasion.

PLUS, we went on our first walk in the stroller yesterday. Me and Zach strolled her out. We were just walking around the neighborhood when suddenly this man on a bike came riding upon us with a video camera! Of course it was my father...He followed us to catch the excursion on video. Oh my. (not that I'm any better ;)





so carmella and I slept through the night last night what? She's 6 days old today and she slept through the night. I am shocked, and happy... but she did turn into a dragon last night from about 9-11 pm. She was uncontrollably fussy and mother, angel, and I didn't know what to do! However, when we finally did get to bed, we both slept great. Happy ending.
